West Coast Yoga Collective
West Coast Yoga School acknowledges the ancient traditions of Yoga while incorprating the developments in social justice. At West Coast yoga, we see diversity. Just as Yoga honours diversity, we would also like to honour the yoga traditions through diverse teachers. I (Patricia) will be your lead instructor but you will have an opportunity to hear from a variety of teachers with various expertise.
When you do a training or course with West Coast Yoga you will receive an education that honors the traditions of the Yoga practice and adapted to the current developments of society. The training is rooted in Hatha Raja Yoga (a 8-limbed yoga practice) but also recognizes more recent developments of movement, meditation, and wellness. Aside from learning about the 8-limbs complete and comprehensive teachings of Yoga, you will also learn biomechanics of movement, anatomy, alignment based postural practice, cultural appropriation, trauma informed methods, nutrition, pranayama (breath work), and meditation.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your yoga journey.
West Coast Yoga 200 Hr Teacher Training is certified by Yoga Alliance. With completion of your training your certificate will be recognized internationally.
If you are interested in any of our trainings/programs please send me an email and I will be in touch for upcomings training dates.
“Completing my 200h yoga teacher training at VSOY has been an incredible experience, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity. The training was comprehensive and the teachers had tremendous depth of knowledge in both theory and practice: their skill, enthusiasm, passion, and embracing of continual growth is inspiring and infectious. Each of the teachers brought a unique wealth of talent and perspective to the table, and they together cultivated an environment that empowered each of us in the class to build upon our unique backgrounds and intentions to start to explore our own practice and teaching style.”
